04/20/2025 - “Easter Sunday”
Title: Living Out the Resurrection – Rev. Jeannette B. Gatewood-Johnson
Scripture: I AM the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die. (John 11:25)
Scripture: Christ is all and is in all. (Colossians 3:11)
Every time we rise to the realization of Truth, the resurrection takes place in us.
· It Begins With “God: Out of God’s great love, God took the initiative and sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to show that death has no sting and cannot conquer God.
· Living Out the Resurrection Daily: We must live out the reality of the resurrection daily! By living a life designed by Jesus’ teachings and not lean to our own understanding.
· Resurrection Power: No matter your background, your past, or the choices you may have made…allow the Christ of your Being to come forth…to take care for you, take the burdens, give you rest, and to bless all.
Title: More Than a Story – It’s a Promise! – Rev. Judith Hokhmah
Scripture: He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ (Luke 24:6-7)
The resurrection is the raising up of the whole person – spirit, soul and body – into the Christ consciousness of life and wholeness.
· What is the significance of the Easter story when recovering today from the world such as it is appearing?
· The cross was not the end for Jesus the Christ. The Christ within remembers – the appearing world does not have the final word either.
· Easter’s soul-arising experiences are about resurrection. Easter is also about restoration of the soul and body, forgiveness, and the certainty of faith-filled hope – springing forth, especially when all seems lost.
· The promise of the ‘Christ–spirit’ arisen in us is that our healing is possible and complete.
Title: Christ Consciousness – Rev. Bernette Lee Jones
Scripture: And (they) returned from the sepulcher, and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. (Luke 24:9 KJV)
· Resurrection is accomplished by the quickening power of the Holy Spirit.
a. Through the intuitive (wisdom) faculty, Truth is often received first at the level of our “gut feeling” and is then shared with our mental faculties and all aspects of consciousness.
b. We are quickened into transformation, regeneration, and transcendence as we intuitively discern and discover that our true nature (name) is Spirit.
Scripture: “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city (Jerusalem) until you have been clothed with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49 NIV)
· In unity with Christ, I realize that I am resurrected into the life, light, and power of God.
a. I am consciously resurrected when my Reality is the realization and experience of the Infinite, Omnipresence operating in me.
